My boss, supervisor and I have discussed and agreed that I will leave on time for the last 2 weeks of August i.e. 9am - 6pm. That will give more time to catch up on my stuff, train and also rest.

Early Release

I finally garnered enough guts to confront my manager and ask if she can early release me. I previously agreed to work until end of August but I want to leave in mid August now.

She isn’t happy to hear about it. We had our little exchange of words but at least she did gave me an alternative. She will let me leave a week earlier than previously. That’s some progress but she has to discuss with my immediate supervisors.

Now I have to be mentally prepared for tomorrow and the days to come. With the verbal or mental abuse I will have to get from my manager who hates opposition.

Recently, I see a lot of buses breaking down during service.

Last week, I saw 2 in a single bus journey.

Yesterday I saw another and the one I was on nearly broke down. The engine died before the Stevens Road exit. Luckily, the driver managed to start the engine again…

Maybe SMRT’s pushing their fleet of buses too much. They should get more new buses and increase the bus frequency during peak period without the commuters paying more… It’s public transport afterall…

It screwed up my connection.

I tried figuring it out by resetting my router and direct connecting to my modem with no avail.

Called the internet service provider and was asked if I had firewall and did any recent updates. I had ZoneAlarms Firewall and Windows updated last night…

I think I am going to give up on the adidas hoodie after hearing different opinions from many people. I guess I won’t have much chance to wear it since I am going to serve the nation soon… After the 2 years, this hoodie thing will be “out”…

As for the refurbished iPod nano, somehow I got this feeling that Apple’s going to release a new generation of nano soon… By then, maybe the price of the current generation of refurbished iPod nanos will drop somemore… I don’t know if I should wait anymore…
